  Introduction

In the context ofCOVID-19 raging, intensified world political conflicts and trade protectionism rising, supply chain management are facing greater uncertainty, dynamism, and complexity. At the same time, with the development and wide application of new-generation information technologies such as cloud computing, the Internet of Things, blockchain, and artificial intelligence, more and more companies implement cross-border collaborative development and interconnection, which helps to build an open, integrated and symbiotic ecology.Supply chain management are rapidly transforming towards digitization and intelligence, from traditional chain structure to complex network structure.

Platform-based supply chain management have the characteristics of digital intelligence, complexity, and end-to-end.Companiescan quickly improve their intelligent decision-making, rapid response, resource integration and risk control capabilities of supply chain management by building or joining the platform. At the same time, there are many bottlenecks in the new supply chain management mode. For example, how to balance the large investment and income required by digital intelligence technology? How to meet the escalating and personalized needs of consumers? How to realize platform-based supply chain network externalities? The above new characteristics and bottlenecks pose a major challenge to the innovation of platform-based supply chain management theories and methods, as well as the realization of new value creation models bycompanieson the platform. Specifically, at the theoretical level, how to extract the general laws of platform-based supply chain management from richcompany practices still lacks theoretical support. At the method level, the existing research methods of platform-based supply chain management lacks systematisms and integration. At the practical level, companies entering the practice of platform-based supply chain management are still in the trial and error stage, lacking sufficient theoretical and methodological guidance.

This year's (2022) International Conference on Operations and Supply Chain Management (ICOSCM) focuses on platform-based supply chain management, aiming to discuss cutting-edge theories, methods, and best practices under this theme. For example, basic issues would be discussed such as platform-based supply chain management value creation mechanisms, risk prevention and control mechanisms, digital intelligence ability construction mechanisms, business model innovation mechanisms and so on. Scholars and companies interested in this topic will be widely invited to participate in the discussion. Internationally renowned scholars and business leaders will share their insights and experiences. This conference will jointly contribute to the theoretical and practical development of supply chain management.
